This makes total sense.

Last year we brought you the news that quirky sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which began its life as a comic book, and gained a cult following in the late ‘90’s and early 2000’s with Melissa Joan Hart in the lead role, was getting a reboot.

Netflix is doing their own darker version of the show and cast Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, the half-mortal half-witch who struggles to reconcile both facets of her life.

They’ve now started to round out the cast and announced that British actress Lucy Davis will play the all-important role of Aunt Hilda.

The Office and Wonder Woman star will take on the role of the nurturing, motherly witch which was originally played by Caroline Rhea.

It’s also been announced that Michelle Gomez will play Mary Wardell, Sabrina’s favourite teacher at Baxter High with Chance Perdomo taking on the role of Sabrina’s mischievous cousin Ambrose Spellman.

And here’s what smart arse cat Salem will look like:

Netflix's Sabrina the Teenage Witch is due out later this year.
