Looking at musicians and the historical events that they were a part, of will be the new focus of Netflix's new documentary series from the Emmy Award-winning brothers Jeff and Michael Zimbalist (The Two Escobars).

The first episode of 'Remastered' is entitled 'Who Shot the Sheriff?', and will investigate the assasination attempt on Bob Marley in Kingston, Jamaica in 1976. 

The eight-episode season will debut on October 12th with the Bob Marley centred episode, and will be released each month thereafter, focusing on a different time in music history. The second episode in November is believed to look at Johnny Cash’s infamous White House meeting with Richard Nixon in 1972, which saw Cash speak his mind to the then president.

A sneak peak at 'Remastered' was revealed recently, and offers us a glimpse of more specific moments in history that the series will address in upcoming releases, such as the murders of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay, and Sam Cooke, with many more to follow.
