Reports are coming in hot of which directors will be behind season 2 of 'Star Wars' series 'The Mandalorian'. It's shaping up to be quite a line up.
The first season of 'The Mandalorian' will be available to Irish viewers when Disney+ launches here on March 24th. Season 2 launches in October.
According to reports, the actress-turned-director daughter of Ron Howard will return as a director. Not only that but Robert Rodriguez and James Mangold join as directors as well.
The news has yet to be officially confirmed. It was the 'Star Wars'-focussed podcast Black Series Rebels that broke the news; and these guys know their stuff.
Moreover you may recall that he was going to write and direct a Boba Fett standalone feature. The project never materialised.
What is certain is that exec producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni plan to match the quality of the beloved first season with more talented directors.
Filoni will be back to direct at least one episode and Favreau has teased that he might direct something for the new season too.
Mind you, the reports state that Rodriguez and Mangold are not directing entire episodes of 'The Mandalorian'. Rather, they've directed sequences in either the same episode or different ones.
