If you went through an emo phase during the mid-00s, you'll be more than familiar with My Chemical Romance and their former lead singer Gerard Way. The group broke up in 2013 and since then Way has turned his focus to his other careers as a comic book writer and television director.

The Umbrella Academy, a comic book he created with illustrator Gabriel Ba, has been picked up by Netflix and will be turned into a 10 part series. It focuses on seven superheroes kids, saved from death and raised to protect the world by a mysterious millionaire. The first series of the comics won an Eisner award (the Oscars of comic books), so this could have serious potential.

No word on when the series will hit Netflix, but it's something for 00s teens to look out for.
