In her first major interview since 'Tiger King' aired on Netflix, Carole Baskin has fired off on the documentary makers, the sudden interest in her previous marriage, and has even said that she's been receiving death threats in the past few weeks.
Baskin spoke to the Tampa Bay Times, where she described how her home and wildlife sanctuary is being visited daily by people, and that she's even spotted drones flying over her home to get a look-in. "I’ve had to turn my phone off. I can’t tell the real ones from the fake ones because they’re always out of state numbers anyway," Baskin told the Tampa Bay Times.
Howard Baskin, meanwhile, has said that he and Carole felt betrayed by the producers of 'Tiger King', and that the show has glamorised the mistreatment of animals and that the audience has neglected this part of the series. “They saw those cubs being dragged away from their mother. Where are those memes? Where are those comments?”
"I just feel so angry that people have totally missed the point," Baskin went on, adding that the "point is these cubs are being abused and exploited and the public is enabling that."
Not surprisingly, neither Carole Baskin nor her husband, Howard, are expected to appear on 'The Tiger King and I', the after-show due to land on Netflix tomorrow.
