If you've been waiting for 'Better Call Saul' to return to Netflix, you're going to be waiting another while longer.

In an interview with Vulture, one of AMC's top executives confirmed that the series won't be returning to screens until 2020. Sarah Barnett, AMC's President of Entertainment Networks, confirmed the news and said that the decision was "driven by talent needs which we would not override if it would result in a worse show."

'Better Call Saul' is now headed into its fifth season, with the last season ending with Jimmy McGill being reinstated as a lawyer, but revealing that he won't be continuing his career under his own name - instead likely opting for Saul Goodman, the lawyer we remember from 'Breaking Bad'.

While it's not yet confirmed the fifth season will be the last in the series, Barnett seemed to make it clear that the show was certainly heading that way. "The writers, they have a very particular, very clear sense of the arc of their show," Barnett explained. This tracks with previous statements from Vince Gilligan, who said that 'Better Call Saul' was zeroing in on an ending pretty soon.

Given how long it's taken for the show to move through its story and how deliberately it's written, it shouldn't come as any surprise that 'Better Call Saul' is taking its time in getting to screens.

All four seasons of 'Better Call Saul' are now available on Netflix.
