It was Agatha getting a solo series all along...

Kathryn Hahn's performance as antagonist Agatha Harkness was one of the hightlights of Marvel's debut Disney Plus series 'Wandavision'.

So fans will be delighted to hear that the character is getting her own spin-off series on the streaming service.

Plot details are under wraps at this point though sources tell Variety it's "a dark comedy."

'Wandavision' head writer Jac Schaeffer is back to both pen and executive produce the project.

In the series finale, Wanda traps Agatha in Westview using her mind manipulation powers.

Agatha was originally posing as a nosy neighbour in the town before revealing her true identity to Wanda as a powerful witch.

A flashback in 'Wandavision' reveals that Agatha survived the Salem Witch Trials by murdering and absorbing the powers of the other witches of her coven.

The character is also responsible for the absolute bop that is "Agatha All Along", which recently won a Primetime Emmy.

'Wandavision' aired earlier this year between January and March.

It has been confirmed that the series would not be getting another season, so Marvel fans will be delighted to see the story continue in this vein.

This isn't the only major gig Kathryn Hahn has secured of late.

She'll be part of the all-star 'Knives Out 2' cast.

She stars in 'The Shrink Next Door' opposite Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd, which premieres on Apple TV+ on November 12th.

She has also been cast as Joan Rivers in a series based on the beloved comedian titled 'The Comeback Girl'.
