Check out our picks of Valentine's Day films that are available to watch on Disney+.

Naturally we have a few (well, several) animated movies. After all, you probably wouldn't have a subscription to Disney+ if you weren't a fan of animation!

Then again, people forget that there are quite a few Buena Vista, as well as Fox, titles on the service now, which means there are live-action romantic dramas and comedies to choose from too.

In no particular order, here are what we consider the best Valentine's Day films on Disney Plus right now.

The Princess and the Frog

This New Orleans-set romance was one of Disney's last traditionally animated films.

Its "Married Life" montage is renowned. Have tissues at the ready for this one.

While You Were Sleeping

Slightly dated, 'While You Were Sleeping' still proves enjoyable enough thanks to Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman's charming lead performances.

"You were my new dream." "And you were mine." *sniffs*

Lady and the Tramp

If the spaghetti scene doesn't convince you of the romance in 'Lady and the Tramp', nothing will.

'Cinderella' is one of the more classical Disney romantic animations. "So This is Love" is still one of its great old-school ballads.

The love of the titular little waste-collecting robot for the sleek modern robot Eve, takes him on a journey across space and inspires Earth's last humans to take better care of the planet - and one another.

10 Things I hate about you

Based on William Shakespeare's 'The Taming of the Shrew', this goes up there with the great modern adaptations of classic works alongside 'Clueless'.

And now with Daryl Hannah's hairy butt (we're not even joking).

Never Been Kissed

Again, this hasn't aged well in places, but the '90s were peak Drew Barrymore and she's lovely as ever here.

27 Dresses

Katherine Heigl is always a bridesmaid, never a bride, in this rom com opposite James Marsden.

He goes to the Underworld to save her soul. Now that's love.

Back before Mel Gibson went a bit nuts, he charmed the world as John Smith.

Beauty and the Beast

Yes, there is the whole Stockholm syndrome issue. But when it comes to Valentine's film for animation fiends, 'Beauty and the Beast' almost always comes out on top.

The Little Mermaid

Sha la la la la la *something something* Kiss the girl!

Sparks flew between Aladdin and Jasmin, and the romance of "A Whole New World" helped.

Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back

Well we had to give 'Star Wars' a plug at some point in our Disney+ picks. Plus Leia and Han have one of the great sci-fi love stories.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Around the mid-2000s, every teen girls' romantic ideal was Will and Elizabeth.

Short films - Lava, The Blue Umbrella, Paperman

Disney+ subscribers should definitely put aside a little time to check out these three shorts. They're stunning to look at, as well as deeply moving. 'Lava' follows a volcano in love, the titular blue umbrella meets a red umbrella one rainy evening, and the Oscar-winning 'Paperman' sees an office worker try to connect with the girl of his dreams via paper planes.
