It has been announced that 'The Walking Dead' will limp its way onto streaming service Disney Plus later this summer.

All ten seasons of 'The Walking Dead' become available to stream from Friday 2nd July in Ireland and the UK.

They launch as part of Star on Disney+, the streamer's new general entertainment brand.

The ten seasons consist of 153 episodes in total, so there will be plenty to sink your teeth into.

Season 11, meanwhile, premieres on Star the following month, on Monday 23rd August.

The season marks the conclusion of the phenomenon

'The Walking Dead' follows a group of survivors, led by former police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), struggling to survive after a zombie apocalypse.

They're haunted not just by the living dead, but by interpersonal conflicts as well.

'The Walking Dead' proved a massive global hit, earning critical acclaim and inspiring various spin-offs.

If apocalyptic thrillers are your thing, you might also want to check out sci-fi drama 'War of the Worlds'.

Inspired by the classic novel by H.G. Wells, season 1 will be available to stream on Disney + later this month, on 28th May, ahead of the season 2 premiere landing this July.

Among the ensemble cast are Gabriel Byrne and 'Normal People' star Daisy Edgar-Jones.
