'Schitt's Creek', 'Line of Duty' and 'Game of Thrones' stars will be crossing over in the brand new thriller series which is heading to Amazon Prime.

We first got word of 'The Rig' five months ago with the announcement of the all-star cast, and now the streaming service has unveiled some first-look images of them in action.

The Scottish-filmed series will be lead by Martin Compston and Mark Bonnar from 'Line of Duty', Emily Hampshire from 'Schitt's Creek', and Iain Glen from 'Game of Thrones'.

Catch a glimpse of them all kitted out in high-vis boiler suits below.

'The Rig' is going to be six-part thriller series set on a remote oil rig off the coast of Scotland. Not much else is known at the moment, but we're getting some potential sci-fi/'Alien' vibes. The official synopsis reads: "When the crew are due to return to the mainland, a mysterious and all-enveloping fog rolls through and they find themselves cut off from all communication with the shore and the outside world.

"As they endeavour to discover what’s driving this force, bonds are broken, allegiances formed and generational fault lines exposed. The crew of the Bravo will be driven to the limits of both their loyalties and their endurance, into a confrontation with forces beyond their imagination."

Joining the cast will also be Owen Teale (Alliser Thorne in 'Game of Thrones'), Richard Pepple (the Duke of Hastings in 'Bridgerton'), Rochenda Sandall (McQueen in 'Line of Duty'), and Abraham Popoola ('Cruella').

'The Rig' has been created by David Macpherson and is directed by 'Bodyguard' and 'Line of Duty' director John Strickland. No release date has been announced.
