Ahead of the debut of season 4 of 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel', Prime Video have made a huge announcement regarding the future of the show.

'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' has been commissioned for a fifth season. Unfortunately though, it will be the last hurrah for Midge.

Production on the fifth and final season is currently underway in New York City.

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, said: "Amy, Dan, and 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' have blazed an unparalleled path, elevating the stories we tell about women, challenging the norms in our industry, and forever altering the entertainment landscape with their one-of-a-kind storytelling.

"The dozens of awards cement Maisel’s legacy in many ways, but what’s even more enduring and poignant are the characters Amy created and the joyous, brilliant, singular world she and Dan brought to life."

'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' earned a total of 20 Emmy awards for its first three seasons; as well as five Critics Choice Awards, two Producers Guild Awards, a Writers Guild Award, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Peabody Award.

The series hails from renowned creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino.

Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, and Luke Kirby make up the incredible ensemble cast.

Season 4 of 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' premieres tomorrow (February 18) exclusively on Prime Video. Two new episodes drop every Friday for four weeks.
