If this new trailer is anything to go by, it looks like the upcoming season of 'The Crown' may just be the most intense yet.

The new season, which lands on Netflix next month, takes in the turbulent '80s in Britain, with the rise of Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister, the assassination of Lord Mountbatten looming, and the disastrous marriage between Princess Diana and Prince Charles take hold.

Gillian Anderson (yes, Scully from 'The X-Files') is set to play Margaret Thatcher, while newcomer Emma Corrin will play Diana in what is sure to be a controversial portrayal. Oscar winner Olivia Colman will play Queen Elizabeth for the final time, as will Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles, Helena Bonham-Carter as Princess Margaret, and Tobias Menzies as Prince Phillip.

Our review of the full season goes live on site from November 9th, but for now, here's the trailer.
