Sacha Baron Cohen has words to say about Rudy Giuliani.

His latest movie 'Borat 2' is currently the talk of the town; particularly when it comes to its compromising scene involving Trump's personal lawyer.

At one point, Giulani is in a hotel room with a young woman posing as a television journalist (the actress Maria Bakalova, who plays Borat's daughter Tutar).

He lies on the bed while the woman is standing up, and appears to reach into his trousers.

The former New York mayor claimed the scene was "set up" and "a complete fabrication."

He claims he "was tucking in his shirt" in the scene in question.

He added: "At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar."

Sacha Baron Cohen was on Good Morning America yesterday to promote the movie.

When asked about Giulani's claims, he said: "Well I would say that if the President's lawyer found what he did there appropriate behavior, then heaven knows what he’s done with other female journalists in hotel rooms.

"I just urge everyone to watch the movie. It is what it is. He did what he did. Make your own mind up. It was pretty clear to us."

He spoke about being concerned for Bakalova as he monitored the scene from a hideaway. He noted: "It’s my responsibility as a producer as well to assure the lead actor is looked after."

In a more satirical response, "Borat" also released a statement, but in "defense" of Giuliani.

In it, he says: "What was an innocent sexy time encounter between a consenting man and my 15-year-old daughter have been turned into something disgusting by fake news media."

"I warn you anyone else try this and Rudolph will not hesitate to reach into his legal briefs and whip out his subpoenas. Chenquieh."

'Borat 2' aka 'Borat Subsequent Moviefilm' is streaming on Amazon Prime now.
