It really is what it says on the tin.

Renowned comedian and actor Rowan Atkinson heads up a new physical comedy series that the whole family can get behind. What looks to be a slapstick affair, not too dissimilar from his Mr. Bean days, 'Man Vs Bee' sees him literally have an all-out war with an endangered species.

Created by Rowan Atkinson and writer Will Davies, the pair have teamed up once again following their successful yet downright idiotic 'Johnny English' trilogy - so at least you know what to expect going into this new project.

From what we can see in the trailer below, 'Man Vs Bee' sees a man become increasingly frustrated with the buzzing insect while attempting to have a relaxing time at his new job as a housesitter. However, if you're familiar with Atkinson's previous encounter with a bee while trying to eat an iced bun from his picnic basket (and a cherry from his coat pocket), you can guess where this series is heading - utter mayhem.

The official Netflix synopsis is as follows: When lovable, but bumbling, dad Trevor lands a new job as a housesitter, his first assignment is a luxurious mansion filled with priceless artwork, classic cars and an adorable dog called Cupcake. But when a bee lands on the scene, can Trevor keep everything under control, or will their raucous rivalry just lead to increasingly disastrous consequences? And what irreparable damage will be done in the process? See the chaos unfold in this watch-together zippy comedy series of short-sized episodes.

The nine-episode season will consist of episodes between 10 to 20 minutes in length. Joining Atkinson will be Jing Lusi, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Greg McHugh, India Fowler, Claudie Blakley and Tom Basden.

Here's the humorous yet out-there trailer for the series.

'Man Vs Bee' lands on Netflix on June 24.
