It has been announced that Sky Cinema and streaming service NOW will be the exclusive home of the upcoming movie, 'Riverdance: The Animated Adventure', in Ireland and the UK.

A teaser for the animated feature dropped last year. The movie is based around the global Irish dance phenomenon of Riverdance.

Loaning their voices to the cast are such thespians as Pierce Brosnan, Brendan Gleeson, Aisling Bea, and Pauline McLynn.

John Kavanagh, Lilly Singh, and stand-up comic Jermaine Fowler co-star.

The film sees "a young Irish boy, Keegan, and his Spanish friend, Moya, journey into the mythical world of the Megaloceros Giganteus, who teach them to appreciate Riverdance as a celebration of life."

The latest teaser, which you can watch below, isn't quite as bad as 'Wild Mountain Thyme'.

Then again, it is only 30 seconds long.

'Riverdance: The Animated Adventure' arrives on Sky Cinema and NOW on 28 May.

This marks not the first major movie acquisition for Sky and NOW regarding Ireland and the UK exclusivity.

Earlier this year, the streamers debuted 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' and the Oscar-winning 'Promising Young Woman'.

'Supernova', starring Stanley Tucci and Colin Firth, arrives later in the year.
