The series has been setting records on Netflix just weeks after its release.
The thrilling five-part series 'Lupin' will be returning to Netflix at some point in the near future. The first season was recently crowned the most-watched French-made TV series on the streamer, which naturally lead to the corporation giving it a second run on screen.
Since January 8, the Omar Sy-led series has impressed viewers on a global level, entering in at number one in many country's top 10 most-watched titles. The crime series has remained in the Irish Top 10 since release too.
In 'Lupin', Sy plays the character of Arsène Lupin, inspired by the character created by Maurice Leblanc. He is a professional thief who is determined on getting revenge on the wealthy Pellegrini family, who framed his since-deceased father for a crime he didn't commit.
Netflix made the announcement on Twitter.

According to Vanity Fair, the second five episodes of 'Lupin' have already been filmed in Paris. Co-creator George Kay told the publication that fans can expect to know more about Arsène's backstory in the upcoming second part.
He teased: "Right now we don’t know what happened to him in the gap between him being, like, 15 and being 40. So we’re kind of retrospectively educating with this huge backstory."
Expect 'Lupin' part two to release on Netflix later this year.
