Netflix Ireland & UK have revealed what movies we can look forward to next month. It's a great lineup.

We've talked before about how at times like this, comfort movies make for the best kinds of filums. And there are plenty on their way to Netflix in the coming weeks.

Check them out.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - April 1st

Released in 1986, 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' became an instant smash hit thanks to Matthew Broderick's charm, John Hughes' superior writing and directing, and the fact that it was damn hilarious. A high school wise guy is determined to have a day off from school, despite what the Principal thinks of that.

The Breakfast Club - April 10th

Another John Hughes classic, 'The Breakfast Club' is, by far, the ultimate in 80's teen drama. Five teenage archetypes - a sports jock, a rich kid, a nerd, a Goth and a burnout - are held in detention on Saturday morning on March 24th, 1984 and form a bond that goes on to define a generation.

Sixteen Candles - April 10th

And yet another one from the unofficial king of teen pics - you've guessed it, John Hughes. 'Sixteen Candles' follows the 'sweet' sixteenth birthday of a girl named Samantha (Molly Ringwald). Everything that could go wrong does, but a last minute change of luck ends up working in her favour.

American Pie - April 10th

Ah, 'American Pie'. The awkwardness, the hilarity, the grossness. The 1999 marked a pinnacle in gross-out comedy - and its sequel two years later followed suit. The series follows the sexual exploits of five friends as they graduate from high school.

Babe - April 10th

'Babe' comes from an era when real animals and not those uncanny valley CGI ones appeared in film. Ah, those were the days. In case you're unfamiliar with the story, 'Babe' follows a little pig who dreams of becoming a sheepdog. Real heartwarming stuff.

The Land Before Time - April 10th

Ok, we know Disney deaths are sad. But that scene in 'The Land Before Time'... our poor little hearts! This unforgettable Don Bluth feature (the animation studio had a premises here in Ireland, did you know?) follows a group of young dinosaurs separated from their parents, and the journey they go on to find home.

Child's Play - April 10th

Now and again, it's worth shaking things up with a horror. And you'd be surprised at how many people haven't seen this absolute classic. The 1980s film made a star of its antagonist, the murderous doll Chucky. Between him and Annabelle, creepy toys come to life are in a league all their own...

The Adventures of Tintin - April 1st

'The Adventures of Tintin', adapted from the comic book series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé, got a pretty positive critical reception when it hit screens in 2011. The sequel has since entered development hell, but the original, directed by Steven Spielberg, makes for a cracking adventure for all the family.

The Martian - April 25th

This is one of the newer movie entries on our list but the Matt Damon starrer has definitely earned its status as a modern classic. Dubbed "'Cast Away' in space', the sci fi feature follows Damon's astronaut character's fight for survival on Mars after being accidentally left behind during a space mission.
