So THIS is how Marvel deals with characters being introduced onto their movie and TV sets that they don't want spoiled.

Just how Julia Louis-Dreyfus and her role on 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' was kept under wraps - or should we call it cloaks - has been revealed by the actor.

We've known this for quite some time, but Marvel HATES it when cameo appearances or plot details get leaked. It makes sense - they've worked so hard planning this moment and to have it leaked out before we see the final product would be a little devastating. Even though us fanboys and girls squeal with excitement at rumours, we have to admit there's nothing better than staring at a Marvel production open-mouthed in shock (Agatha's reveal being the most recent one).

But while Louis-Dreyfus's introduction to the MCU as Countessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine wasn't ground-breaking, but more of a coy character introduction, Marvel Studios still kept her involvement very much a secret from the outside world. Plus, the actor has a big fanbase, so there's also that to consider.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus in 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' saw her only appear for two brief moments. Val (don't call her Val) interacts with Wyatt Russell on both occasions, and by the end of the series gifts him *SPOILER* his new suit as U.S. Agent.

Making her way to set however seems like it was quite the task. Here's the brief video of one of the moments the actor was smuggled onto the set of the Disney+ series.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus in 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier' wasn't supposed to be the first appearance of Val, however. According to Vanity Fair, she was due to make her on-screen debut during the delayed 'Black Widow'.

But just how will Val and her purple-streaked hair be involved in the upcoming action film - and does she still feature in it? Marvel allegedly has big plans in store for the character, so we'll have to wait until July to see how this turns out.
