Inspired by the novel 'Ghetto Cowboy' by G. Neri, the movie will see the actors play opposite each-other as father and son.

Idris Elba and Caleb McLaughlin star in the trailer for Netflix's 'Concrete Cowboy'. McLaughlin plays Cole, a troubled teen who must spend a summer with his estranged father, Harp, in North Philadelphia.

However, the teenager gets caught up in a life of crime while his father continues to live out his life as part of a vibrant urban-cowboy subculture within the city. The pair clash at first, but Cole slowly but surely learns the slow-living ways of his father.

'Concrete Cowboy' will mark Idris Elba's official return to movies. Most of us might have wanted to forget his most recent feature film 'Cats', but the actor of course has much better offerings such as TV series 'Luther' (which is getting a movie), as well as his appearances as Heimdall as part of the 'Thor' franchise for Marvel.

Caleb McLaughlin is best known for playing the role of Lucas in Netflix sci-fi series 'Stranger Things'. The fourth season is currently filming and is expected to released later this year. The 19-year-old's only other movie role was in the sports drama 'High Flying Bird'.

Jharrel Jerome ('Mr. Mercedes'), Lorraine Toussaint ('Selma'), and rapper Method Man also star in 'Concrete Cowboy'. Here's the trailer.

'Concrete Cowboy' will be available on Netflix from Friday, April 2.
