Thankfully, not much is given away for the upcoming season.

The first 'Handmaid's Tale' season four trailer has arrived to whet our appetite as to what's in store for Elisabeth Moss' June Osborne.

In response to yesterday's heartbreaking news that the next season won't be arriving in 2020 (and instead will be knocked back into 2021), Hulu have gifted us a glimpse of what to expect next year when the dramatic series returns.

Last we saw of the former Handmaid June, she led a rebellion to rescue the children of Gilead  - and she's now planning to dismantle their entire structure. As you can see from the teaser, there is a recap of some moments from season three mixed in with new footage that has already been filmed.

The arrival of 'Handmaid's Tale' in 2020 would certainly have been a welcomed one for fans - especially given the current political climate and the US Presidency later this year still to happen. Unfortunately, the series was caught up in production shut-downs earlier this year, meaning 2021 will be the year we've all been waiting for.

Speaking to IndieWire, showrunner Bruce Miller said of the upcoming season: "Don’t try to guess what happens. That’s a fool’s errand. You will not be able to know what happens. That’s the beauty of the show."

Who knows, maybe next time we see 'Handmaid's Tale', the world will be a much brighter place...
