Sure Valentine's Day is all well and good, but we all know it'a Hallmark holiday. Galentine's, a day that celebrates female friendship, is the real day worth celebrating.

Galentine's day has its gender neutral equivalent in Palentine's Day, and both are celebrated on February 13th.

The special occasion grew in popularity after first being mentioned in 'Parks and Recreation' season 2.

Protagonist Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) came up with the idea. (And in fact, the sitcom is on both Netflix AND Amazon now, so you've no excuse not to stream it)

We went looking around those streaming service and a few others for the best Galentine's movies out there.
