Disney+ had quite a weekend there when it dropped 'Hamilton'. The Broadway sensation sparked 752,451 downloads of the streaming service app globally, including 458,796 downloads in the U.S. All eyes are now on what the House of Mouse streamer will offer next.

So far, Disney+ original films haven't exactly been plentiful. There's been the 'Lady and the Tramp' remake; Willem Dafoe dog movie 'Togo'; teen romantic drama 'Stargirl'; and kid movie 'Timmy Failure'. Their latest, 'The One and Only Ivan', is on-brand and family-friendly.

Based on the award-winning book by Katherine Applegate, the flick depicts the story of a gorilla named Ivan. He goes from the wild to a circus until his friends encourage him to seek new ventures.

It packs quite a cast between Sam Rockwell as the voice of Ivan; Angelina Jolie as the voice of Stella; Danny DeVito as the voice of Bob the dog; Helen Mirren as the voice of Snickers the poodle; Brooklynn Prince as the voice of Ruby; Ramon Rodriquez as the mall employee George; Ariana Greenblatt as George’s daughter Julia; Chaka Khan as the voice of Henrietta the chicken; Mike White as the voice of Frankie the seal; Ron Funches as the voice of Murphy the rabbit; Phillipa Soo as the voice of Thelma the parrot; and Bryan Cranston as Mack, the mall’s owner.

'The One and Only Ivan' streams on Disney+ from August 14th.
