Director Kate Herron has shared a rather hilarious (and decidely non-threatening) look at what prop was used as the reptilian version of the God of Mischief on set. *SPOILERS FOR 'LOKI' EPISODE FIVE BELOW*

In case you weren't aware, Alligator Loki is the newest MCU wonder which has got all of the Marvel heads talking. After the reveal of all of the alternative Lokis at the end of episode four of the Disney+ series, the newest episode delved much deeper into the various different variants of Loki that there are out there in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - including a ferocious reptilian version that can bite off hands.

However, the actual version of Alligator Loki used on set of the TV series was very different to the final version we saw on the screen. After the premiere of episode five on Wednesday, the director of the series Kate Herron shared a picture of the prop used for the actors to reference while on set. And we have to admit, the prop is very cute.

The director tweeted: "Happy Episode Five "Journey into Mystery" day! Here is one of the biggest divas and the most demanding actor I’ve ever had to work with, taking a break from his reign of terror to relax in his chair."

Prepare for your perception of Alligator Loki to be changed forever.

Herron has been quite vocal about the exploration of Loki's bisexuality in future series, following the character's reference to it in episode three. She tweeted: "From the moment I joined ['Loki'] it was very important to me, and my goal, to acknowledge Loki was bisexual.

"It is a part of who he is and who I am too. I know this is a small step but I’m happy, and heart is so full, to say that this is now Canon in [MCU]."

There's only one more episode of 'Loki' left to hit Disney+ - watch out for episode six next Wednesday, July 14. The next MCU/Disney+ production will be the animated series 'What If...?', which arrives on Wednesday, August 11.
