Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have only just left Dublin after their live rescheduled shows in the 3Arena but they're still busy bees on the publicity trail for the rest of the tour.
They have given a fairly in-depth interview to The Guardian this week and have revealed why they never went back for a third season of their hugely popular show 'Flight of the Conchords'.
Turns out, filming the show wasn't as much fun as it looked and the tight schedules and long hours had the lads burned out. Asked whether they got tired of working together: "We were tired of working together," says Clement.
"Yeah, it’s not like we were tired of each other’s company. It just wasn’t fun," says McKenzie.
They felt so strongly about not wanting to return for a third season that they asked their agents not to tell them what HBO were willing to offer them to do it, and given the success of the show, we'd imagine that was a LOT.
While there may never be another season, fans of the show can take comfort in the fact that the duo are looking at doing a one-hour special, with Clement telling ET Online in January; "We're going to film a little something this year. We're going to shoot an hour thing."
No word on when or how we can see that yet but we will keep you posted.
