Pass us the fizzy orange there Tommy, we need it after last night's Love/Hate. Now if you haven't seen the latest installment of RTE's hit drama we suggest you look away, but for those of you who have, or indeed those who don't mind the odd spoiler, here are 5 things we learned from Nidge and the boys last night.

SPOILER ALERT: Don't say we didn't warn you.

5. Rosary Beads vs Holy Medals is still a thing
No matter how much time passes, that Communion Day gift dilemma endures for many a relative around the country. We personally think Warren would prefer a fizzy orange, a few bills, and some seriously slick lines in his hair. D'jaknowwahwemean? As for Nidge? Well, as he said himself, you can't have a good Holy Communion without a few wet T-Shirts.

4. Fran's a trendsetter when it comes to Halloween fancy dress
He may have ditched the demon mask but Fran's 'face dripping with blood' look is sure to be all the rage with those who can't get their hands on the headgear.

3. A car is not a car without an 'Oh Jesus' handle
How else are you supposed to hold on when belting it around corners during a high speed undercover chase, eh? (We do not recommend belting it around corners in or on any form of vehicle at any time)

2. Love/Hate's newest cast member only speaks the tooth
We're guessing there's a subliminal message about actually taking care of our teeth running through this year's show.

1. Fran should enter the X Factor in 2014
That performance of his would see him straight through to the live shows, don'cha think?

We can see the posters already...

And sure don'cha know Louis would love him, what with him being from Ireland and all...

Honourable Mentions: China and Japan are one and the same (just ask that dashing drug dealer from the opening scene, he'll tell you), and 'drugs down the jocks' are all the rage in Dublin. Guess that explains why so many young fellas walk around with their hands down their pants.

Until next week...
