The annual shortlist for the TV Choice Awards has been revealed and quite a few Irish stars have popped up on the list. 'Poldark's Aidan Turner will go up against 'Peaky Blinder's Cillian Murphy for Best Actor while Caitriona Balfe's show 'Outlander' earned a nomination in the Best Drama Series.

'The Graham Norton Show' also got a nod in the Best Entertainment series category, he goes up against 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway', 'Celebrity Juice', and 'Gogglebox'.

In the soap categories, 'EastEnders' Danny Dyer, 'Emmerdale's Ryan Hawley and 'Corrie's Jack P Shepherd and Shayne Ward compete in the Best Soap Actor category, which is a tough one to call this year with the storylines that lot have faced.

In the Best Soap Actress category, it's Emma Atkins of 'Emmerdale', 'EastEnders' Lacey Turner and Lucy Fallon and Catherine Tyldesley of 'Coronation Street'. Lucy Fallon, who play Bethany, has that one in the bag we reckon.
