Peter Capaldi had his last outing as the iconic BBC character last night, as he was replaced by *gasp* a woman. Jodie Whittaker replaced Capaldi, in what critics are describing as a "graceful" changing of the guard.
Whittaker has already had an ace career, appearing in the Oscar nominated 'Venus', an episode of Black Mirror and a heap more. She'll next be seen in cinemas in the boxing drama 'Journeyman'.
So my 6 yr old grandson just watched the #DrWho regeneration from Capaldi to Whittaker.
"Is the Doctor a girl now?"
"Yes"
He thinks for a minute. "Can she do that?"
"Yes."
"Cool. Can I have a peach?"So no biggie then.#Whovians #DoctorWho

Welcome Jodie Whittaker as the first female Doctor Who. Something tells me she’ll be even more badass than her male predecessors #DrWho #DoctorWho pic.twitter.com/a5yd63YOb7
