The cash just keeps on flowing in for Ricky Gervais for The Office. The show's most famous remake is of course The US Office, starring Steve Carrell, but now India is set to take on the hit show too.
The BBC has announced a remake for the country, with David Brent/Michael Scott becoming Jagdeep Chaddha, who is the manager of paper company Wilkins Chawla in Faridabad, a satellite town of New Delhi.
"I'm always excited and flattered to see remakes of my work, particularly as I've ended the David Brent saga now with Life On The Road," Gervais said. "But when a country with a population of over a billion has a version, I'm hoping for big ratings."
This will mark the first version of the show to be made is Asia with previous adaptations made in Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Israel, Sweden and Finland.
