In a statement released by the BBC, Lee said: "I'm so excited to be joining this year’s line-up. It is a real honour for me and I can’t wait to get out on the dance floor."
Lee revealed that it was watching his former band mate Simon Webbe, who reached the 2014 'Strictly' final, that inspired him to go on the show: "I think just watching Simon and his transformation, that was what was really important," he told the 'Loose Women' panel.
"He went in there and didn’t know what he was doing but he learned."
