It may seem a lifetime ago since we were all glued to Netflix's Making a Murderer over the New Year, but Steven Avery is still behind bars, as is Brendan Dassey. Avery enlisted the help of new lawyer Kathleen Zellner to help him get acquitted of another crime he says he didn't commit. And he was right last time...

Since taking the post, Zellner has been extremely proactive in her quest to prove Avery's innocence, posting regular twitter updates.

Zellner has also been partaking in interviews, the latest of which she had this to say to TheLipTV: "It’s the evidence. In having had a number of these cases, it has the signature of a wrongful conviction case. They only focused on him. They did not look at a lot of other suspects, certainly some very key people they should have been looking at. There was a very poor investigation done of the victim’s background, who she was involved with, the circumstances of her life. It had all of the hallmarks of a wrongful conviction case."

According to TheLipTV, Zellner “also intends to prove who actually killed Teresa Halbach. She asserted it is fairly obvious if you review the record of the criminal case."
