Following a withering response from an interview Adam Boulton conducted with Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney about being "guilty" for last week's negotiations involving the border and the DUP.
Boulton was heavily criticised for his tone during the interview, which many felt was condescending and dismissive of Ireland's position, the nature of the negotiations and the overall idea that Ireland was causing "a kerfuffle" over this.
Coveney, for his part, didn't stoop to Boulton's level and responded in a calm fashion, but it seems as though the backlash from the interview has been nagging the broadcaster for some time - and made a tweet about it late last night which has set more people off.
Here's the tweet in question.
Bored now. Some of you Irish need to get over yourselves. Interviewing is about challenging the interviewee not respecting.

And here's just some of the responses.
Would love to see you bring this mouthy aggressiveness to bear on your incompetent government.

“You Irish....” charming. I think we Irish have exercised a great deal of restraint in the past couple of weeks in the face of old-colonial style comment about Ireland (as well as incredibly stupid ill-informed comment) thought Coveney acquitted himself v well in that interview
