Oh Benedict Cumberbatch, we do fall in love with you more and more each day, especially when you do dreadfully naughty things, like revealing that your incredibly popular mystery drama Sherlock has already been recommissioned for a fourth series, apparently.

The Radio Times was speaking to Cumberbatch at the South Bank Awards this afternoon when he let the news slip: "We've agreed to two more series but I'm probably going to get into trouble for saying that," said Cumberbatch. "All I know at the moment is I'm doing these three and another three." By three he means episodes. Not series. Although we wouldn't complain, and neither would he apparently.

"It just depends on Martin and I's availability, how long we can keep it going. It depends on Steven's (Moffat) ability. I'd love to keep it going" he said.

You'll be well aware that we LOVE Sherlock here in the office, and were utterly delighted to hear they're filming the fourth series very very very soon. We can't wait to see what the consulting detective is up to next.
