Warning: Spoilers for Game of Thrones S06E09 'The Battle of the Bastards' below
The Battle of the Bastard delivered some truly emotional moments. None more so than the death of Rickon Stark.
The youngest son of Ned Stark was used in a game by Ramsay to draw Jon Snow into a trap and it worked perfectly. He apparently was cutting Rickon loose and letting him run to his brother Jon. Of course he also had to avoid Ramsay's arrows in the process.
Rickon's death was a shock it absolutely nobody. In fact it was probably welcomed by a lot of fans as it raised the emotional stakes between the titular bastards, Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton. Also he wasn't really much of character. He didn't even have a single line of dialogue all season.
Of course it didn't stop us screaming at our TVs begging Rickon to stop running in a straight line.

Well the actor who played Rickon Stark felt the same way about his character's demise.
