At this stage, we feel every bloody star in Hollywood has been linked to the second season of True Detective, seriously, EVERYONE. You'd be tempted to just ignore the rumours by now but our interest couldn't helped be piqued when we heard that Rachel McAdams is now apparently in talks to join the cast, according to Variety.
The star of About Time (and of course The Notebook) would be reportedly joining Vince Vaughn, Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch in the second season which previously starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in the leading roles.
As we said though, a load of other leading ladies have been thrown into the mix in recent months including Elizabeth Moss Of Mad Men, The Killing's Michelle Forbes and Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain.
We are definitely rooting for McAdams though, she has had one too many schmaltzy-my-one-true-love movies at this stage, so a juicy role that would inevitably be in True Detective would be the making of her.
An official casting announcement is on the way according to HBO Programming President Michael Lombardo, so hopefully we will have something more solid to confirm to you soon.
All the details from Season 2 of True Detective have just dropped. EXCITED!
