It was announced almost a year ago that Joseph Fiennes would be playing Michael Jackson in a TV movie and now we have our first look at the BAFTA nominee in the role.
We're not going to lie, it's a little bit creepy....
Yeah, so needless to say there was some negative reaction on Twitter.

Okay? But why does Joseph Fiennes as MJ look like the scarecrow you'd find at the edge of a pumpkin patch!? pic.twitter.com/OxFjP5SZQs

They have Joseph Fiennes playing Michael Jackson. Maybe Tom Hanks will play Berry Gordy in the next Motown movie.

If you haven't heard of the project, Fiennes' turn as former King of Pop is for the Sky Arts series Urban Myths. His segment will focus on the urban myth that Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, and Marlon Brando went on a roadtrip from New York to California in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Taylor is being portrayed by Stockard Channing while Brian Cox is taking a run at Brando.
You can watch the trailer below and to be fair it does look like it could be gas so we'll reserve judgement on Fiennes until the show airs.
Eddie Marsan, Rupert Grint, Iwan Rheon, Ben Chaplin, and Aidan Gillen also star as various historical figures.
