Known for his comedy timing and moustache (and his love of whiskey), Nick Offerman has reportedly been offered a role to star in the second series of Fargo.
The Parks and Recreation star is better known for his comedic roles rather than something as dark as Fargo, but nonetheless he is apparently in negotiations to join the show for their second series.Â
The Wrap are reporting that Offerman, along with Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) and rising star Rachel Keller are all being lined up to appear in the next series, which will switch focus from the events of the first series, citing "multiple individuals with knowledge of the castings" who have stated that Offerman has been offered a role.Â
The first season starred Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks and Allison Tolman, but the second season will take the action back to 1979, and none of that cast will feature. Noah Hawley, who created the series, has already stated that it will look at the story of a young Lou Solverson who returns home from the Vietnam war as a 33-year-old veteran.
Offerman also has a stand-up special debuting on Netflix later this month called American Ham.Â
