She said she wouldn't be taking it easy when she became a TV mentor, and now Naomi Campbell has joined the UK version of US model search, The Face. Sky Living just ordered their own take on the series, and nabbed the infamous supermodel for the show to boot.
Deadline says Campbell will be one of three supermodels competing to find a new girl to become the face of a world-renowned brand. Each supermodel will mentor a team of four girls, and each week they'll compete against each other in a series of challenges, including photo shoots, runway shows and commercials for famous brands. As is standard with most of these shows, one model will leave each week and the crucial decision about who stays or goes will be made by the mentor of the winning team.
Naomi, who also happens to be an exective producer on the show, knows exactly what she wants from her contestants. "I am looking for the ultimate model. It doesn't matter where you are from or who you are, The Face is about one thing" she said. "I'm looking for contestants who have the whole package - a beautiful face, great body, unique look, confidence, drive and passion, the ability to change and transform a willingness to follow direction, and, above all, a strong work ethic." Sure we could apply then so, couldn't we Naomi?
Production on The Face starts later this Spring, with the other supermodel mentors yet to be confirmed.
