Michelle Williams will return to the small screen for the first time since 'Dawson's Creek' for a new TV show being co-produced by 'Hamilton' creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Sam Rockwell will also join the cast of the as-yet-untitled series, which is based on the lives of American dancers Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon, for the FX network.
FX released a statement saying: "Featuring Fosse's choreography, the series explores the hidden corners of show business, the price of pursuing greatness, and the suffering inflicted in the name of art."
Rockwell will play Fosse, who married Verdon (Williams) in 1960, and was known for his directorial and choreographical work in theatre and on films like 'Cabaret', 'All That Jazz' and 'Sweet Charity'. Verdon was acclaimed for her roles on Broadway from the 1950s to the 1970s, and is often hailed as the best of all time.
The mini-series will span eight episodes, with the pilot - written by Steven Levenson ('Masters of Sex') who will also act as showrunner - set to air next year.
