If you've been watching MTV of late, you'll be familiar with Buckwild, a show that's akin to Jackass, but which seems inherently more dangerous. Anyway, some very sad news has emerged from the USA this morning, where one of the show's stars has been found dead.
Reports say 21-year-old Shain Gandee went missing over the weekend, having last been spotted at 3am on Sunday morning with his uncle, David Gandee. Both men were found dead in a vehicle in Sissonville, West Virginia early yesterday morning. It's understood that the vehicle was discovered on a dirt track, and the authorities said that no foul play was suspected. TMZ are reporting that the vehicle was found in a ditch, and have suggested that carbon monoxide poisoning may have played a role in the incident, but no cause of death has been confirmed at this time.
"We are shocked and saddened by the terrible news about Shain Gandee, and those involved in this tragic incident. We are waiting for more information but at this time, our main concern is for the Gandee family and their friends", MTV said in a statement. Deadline reports that the network has temporarily shut down production on the show following Gandee's death.
A third body was also discovered in the vehicle, but has yet to be identified. RIP.
