It's all going down on the reality shows these days, isn't it just? If it's not Big Brother, it's Love Island.

Those that have been watching the latter will be familiar with Miss Great Britain Zara Holland, who has been unlucky in love in the house until this week, when she got to choose one of the two new arrivals to go on a date with.

Zara chose Alex and the pair went off to 'The Hideaway', which is a private bedroom in the Love Island villa, and well, things got pretty steamy, as viewers saw on Wednesday night's show.

It was all too much for the people behind Miss Great Britain however, who decided her antics under the covers made her a bad role model and have stripped her of her title.

In an official statement, the organisers said;

"We pride ourselves on promoting the positivity of pageants in modern society and this includes the promotion of a strong, positive female role model in our winners.

"The feedback we have received from pageant insiders and members of the general public is such that we cannot promote Zara as a positive role model moving forward.

"We wholly understand that everyone makes mistakes, but Zara, as an ambassador for Miss Great Britain, simply did not uphold the responsibility expected of the title."

Zara will be replaced by runner-up Deone Robertson in the Miss World competition in Malaysia in December.

The 20-year-old regretted her actions the next day, saying; "You know when you’re in the moment and it just happens. That’s really not like me at all. Why couldn’t we have just gone to sleep?"

Zara later told fellow housemate Sophie Gradon (and former Miss Great Britain 2009); "I wouldn’t even do that if I was in a couple with someone. I just feel like everyone’s going to judge me. But look it’s not like me at all, it’s so out of character. I’ve never had a one-night stand or anything. Even when I’ve been seeing guys, I don’t just sleep with them on the first night."

Love Island presenter Caroline Flack has defended Zara in a tweet;

While others have called the move sexist;

Hopefully there will be enough of an outcry for Zara to get her title back, as no doubt she will be gutted when she realises the harsh consequences of her actions on the reality show.
