Turns out, Love Island's Frankie and Samira were way more serious than you may have thought, their relationship just wasn't given that much screen time.

In an interview with Metro.co.uk , Frankie, who was booted off the show on Monday night revealed that he and Samira actually had a night in the Hideaway that wasn't shown and other islanders felt they were one of the show's strongest couples.

"We did, we spent time in the Hideaway", he said. "It was fun. We got a text and then the other islanders picked us two, and then everyone was cheering us on as we walked in."

However, Frankie gave nothing away about what actually happened in there saying: "I cannot talk about the Do Bits Society, it’s top secret, have you not heard the rules of the DBS? Once you get your membership card you are in DBS for life."

ITV told Metro.co.uk: "We don’t necessarily show every moment in the hideaway owing to the constraints of it only being a one hour show."

Frankie also said it felt "amazing" that Samira left the villa for him but that he has "no idea what she's doing or when I’ll see her so it’s a waiting game".

"I found out this afternoon [Thursday], [I got] a barrage of texts, people saying 'omg she’s coming out, when will we get to meet her, when will you see her?' So I just got bombarded", he added.

"It’s nice, it’s amazing really and cements the way she feels about me which is nice for me to know, to think that, you take for granted that you will see each other every day and from what she said, she was the same as me in feeling that as soon as you can’t speak to them and they’re missing, you realise how much you like them and that that probably made her decision."

He went on to say how he was surprised that viewers didn't know how serious the couple were saying: "From day one, we always gravitated to each other if we were say around the fire pit or were sat on the day beds, we would always be the two chatting, and then that developed intro romantic relationship," he said.

"Our relationship in there was very strong and if you had spoken to any other islanders they would have put me and Sam up there in one of the strongest in the villa, so it is weird to come out and see some viewer reaction, saying 'we didn’t see enough of it', but everyone [in the villa] knew I liked Sam and everyone knew Sam liked me, and we did our own thing and there was never any question marks, so it is funny to know how we can be seen as."

Needless to say, viewers weren't too happy about it either:

You can catch Samira and Frankie on 'Love Island's Aftersun' this Sunday night on 3e after 'Love Island'.
