The pair previously worked together on two Friends’ episodes when Witherspoon guest starred as Rachel’s younger sister Jill. She briefly dated Ross with hilarious consequences.
The project, headed by Media Res executive Michael Ellenberg, is being billed as Aniston’s big return to the small screen. Witherspoon, meanwhile, is fresh from starring in HBO’s critically acclaimed series Big Little Lies.
The two co-stars will executive produce with Steve Kloves (Harry Potter) and House of Cards’ writer Jay Carson will pen the script.
The still untitled project will be brought to market shortly and a bidding war between the likes of Netflix and HBO is expected.
And here's why- who doesn’t want to see more of this?
