The BBC have announced that The Fall has been renewed for a third season, with co-stars Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson returning.
Fans of the show will remember the cliffhanger ending of season two (*look away to avoid spoilers) in which Dornan’s character, Paul Spector, was shot and left clinging to life, so it comes as a bit of a surprise that Dornan is coming back. Not that we're complaining, more Paul Spector, and less Christian Grey, keeps us pretty happy.
The cat and mouse game between Gibson and Spector has one last act to play out. Who will win? #TheFall will return. https://t.co/a8OMPLEyfs

Reading into the tweet, possibly too much, it would appear that this could be the last season of the show, or at least the last season we'll see the two co-leads go up against each other.
Over three and a half million people tuned in to see the last season finale, so maybe we shouldn't be so surprised that the show is coming back, although we're at a bit of a loss as to what direction the show will go, so feel free to throw some ideas at us.
Unfortunately no release date has been announced, so we have no idea of how long we'll have to wait to see it back on our screens, but we'll keep you posted.
