Although FX have signed up It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia for two more seasons - making it the longest-running live-action comedy in TV history - it looks like we'll be waiting for quite some time for the show to return to our screens.

According to a report by TVLine, the show probably won't be returning until late 2018 as pretty much everyone on the show has different things going on. This ties in with Kaitlin Olson's comments last month that the show was going on extended hiatus owing to projects everyone had outside of the show.

For example, Rob McLehenney is directing a film based on Minecraft (really), Glenn Howerton now has a sitcom with Patton Oswalt, Charlie Day's doing Pacific Rim: Uprising and Kaitlin Olson has her own sitcom called The Mick. Danny DeVito, meanwhile, is set to star in Tim Burton's live-action remake of Dumbo and there's also that development-hell favourite Triplets with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Eddie Murphy.

All that aside, everyone's still committed to the show and you can expect to new episodes - just you'll be waiting for some time. In the meantime, let's watch random clips on YouTube to make ourselves feel better.
