Although there's not much to this teaser - it's literally just the couch and Carly Simon's 1971 hit 'Anticipation' - what really is there to say about Roseanne Barr and her departure that hasn't been already said?
If you've been living under a rock for the past six months or so or are just out of the loop, the general gist is this - Roseanne Barr, who created the series 'Roseanne', was dropped like a hot snot by ABC when she made a racist tweet that pretty much blew up in a matter of moments. Barr, for her part, has claimed that she didn't know the subject of her tweet - senior adviser to President Barack Obama Valerie Jarrett - was white.
After Barr's firing, a spinoff from 'Roseanne' was mooted which would see all the cast, writers and directors return aptly titled 'The Conners', and now, at long last, there's a premiere date and a teaser to go along with it. There's no word yet if 'The Conners' will receive an air-date on this side of the Atlantic, but obviously much of that will depend on how well the series is received in the US.
Here's the teaser.
