Can you believe it's been almost 6 years since Skins first hit our TV screens? Yep, Tony Stonem and co first landed in our midst back in 2007, and now we're getting ready to wave goodbye to the show with a very special series of episodes.
Skins Series 7, or Skins Pure, Skins Rise and Skins Fire as the episodes have been dubbed by the folks over at Channel 4, will air in July, and old favourites Cassie, Effy and Cook will return to front their own episodes. Each character will have two one hour slots, focusing on what life is like for them when they hit their early twenties.
Series creators Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittan say things will get much more interesting this time around, as the show "goes into new territory, is more adult and more uncompromising". As far as we know, Effy's leading her boss astray, Cassie's a little bit lost in London and Cook, well he's delivering drugs to clubs and bars in Manchester. They're a long way from Bristol now eh?
What about Tony, Sid and Anwar? Or Chris, Michelle, Jal and Maxxie eh? What happened to our original Skins? We hope we'll at least hear them mentioned somewhere along the way.
But of course, Skins fans aren't the only ones with a bit of good news coming their way! On the same day Channel 4 confirmed the 7th series, they also gave the green light for another series of Misfits. Interesting news that, given that series creator Howard Overman is working on a movie about the series too.
