Although you'd associate Bryan Cranston with Walter White and Breaking Bad, he had a fantastic run as Hal, the long-suffering father of three boys in Malcolm In The Middle.
The series, which ran for seven seasons, was a huge hit and catapulted young Frankie Muniz into the limelight at a very young age. Since then, however, Muniz hasn't been up to all that much. His last credit was - gulp - Sharkando 3, where he starred alongside acting luminaries such as Tara Reid and Steve Sanders from Beverly Hills 90210.
However, Muniz took to Twitter the other day and pitched the idea of a mid-life Malcolm series.
How fun would "Malcolm In The Mid-life Crisis" be? I wonder what Malcolm and his family would be up to now!

Whatever about Muniz, it's pretty unlikely that Bryan Cranston would be willing or able to come back as Hal. After all, he's got the Oscar-bait drama Trumbo on the way, the TV movie All The Way where'll he play US president Lyndon B. Johnson and loads more besides.
Lois, meanwhile, has been starring in TV comedies pretty regularly since the end of Malcolm In The Middle, including The Simpsons, The Middle and even had a stint on Law & Order. Dewey, on the other hand, has no credits to his name since 2010, the same as Reese whilst eldest Francis has turned up in a few indie comedies in the meantime.
Our thoughts? We can't see this happening without Bryan Cranston's involvement. Hal was the funniest character on the show and without him, they're at nothing. Sure, Lois had her moments and Dewey could be funny every now and then, but Hal made it.
The question is, would anyone watch another Malcolm In The Middle series? That's where you come in. Let us know in the comments and vote in our poll!
