Singer Ed Sheeran has revealed some key details about his upcoming cameo in Game of Thrones season 7. Don’t worry – no spoilers here.
It was revealed back in March that the singer would appear in the HBO fantasy series and now he has finally been able to reveal more about his role.
Sheeran revealed that he’ll be sharing the screen with none other than his IRL friend Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark. Apparently, this cameo was conceived as a treat for Williams, who is a big fan of Sheeran.
It shouldn’t come as too big a surprise then that as part of the role, he’ll be singing.
Speaking on The Hits Radio, via AV Club, he said: “I just do a scene with Maisie. I sing a song and then she goes, 'oh, that's a nice song', and I go, 'It's a new one' and then there's other lines.”
Apparently there’ll be nothing too dramatic as Sheeran revealed in an interview earlier this month that his character doesn’t die in his cameo appearance.
