Anyone on Twitter last night would have been hard pushed to find a tweet that wasn't about the reveal of Lucy Beale's killer on EastEnders, and it turns out it was quite the record breaking night for the soap on social media.

The first episode saw an amazing 508,678 tweets in the UK making that the most tweeted about episode of a UK soap ever, while the flashback episode later on managed to outdo it coming in with 519,359, with that final reveal moment bringing in 32,638 tweets, according to social analytics firm Kantar Social TV UK.

So in summary, there was more than one million tweets about EastEnder last night... kind of crazy, isn't it?

Tonight may just set another record too as the soap airs a live episode showing the aftermath of Bobby's guilt being exposed.

If you do fancy taking part in the Twitter conversation, the hashtag is #EELive, or you know, you could just watch it, but where's the fun in that?
