Brace yourselves: A TV documentary about Danny Healy-Rae, the Kerry County Councillor who said we should actually let people who live in rural areas drink more before driving, is coming soon.

Yep, according to the Irish Examiner, a German TV crew has taken a keen interest in the would-be politician and his errr, controversial position on drink driving. The story of his quest to actually raise the limits gained a wee bit of international attention when some of his colleagues decided to support the motion y'see. And there we were thinking we had finally escaped the madness...

The crew from Hamburg will now be spending a few days down in Kerry filming the Councillor, in an effort to document his "passion" for those who live in rural communities. We wonder if he'll be getting big daddy Jackie and brother Michael in on the action: Sure aren't they pros when it comes to promotion? Plus, they really understand the ins and outs of Reality TV after Michael's little stint on Celebrities Go Wild.

Pity there's no voting involved this time though, eh? Sure Enda could just ask Angela to cover the phone bill...
